After reading all the great reviews Bobby’s got, I took my 2012 Hyundai Elantra there to have the steering fixed. While it would steer fine, it was not sounding well at all. Bobby’s fixed it and charged me over $1000 to do so and said they had to realign the car as a result of the repair. Ended up having to take it back to have it realigned because it was pulling badly to the left. It’s better now but not as good as it was before it was repaired. In an effort to understand what the problem was with the car, I went online and looked up my problem, which was a worn steering coupler. I should have done that before I took it in. My fault! Found out that it’s not an expensive repair at all and does not take much time to do. It also does not involve the realignment of the car. Fast forward two months later. My 2013 Hyundai Sonata began showing the same problems with the steering. This time I took it to Mt. Airy Motors, who someone referred me to and also had very high reviews as well. Total cost to replace the same steering coupler, $264, and they did not have to realign the car. Turns out that the procedure to fix both the Elantra and the Sonata are the same. There is no difference! My daughter took her car to Bobby’s to have her oil changed because she had a $25 off coupon. Turns out she would’ve been better off going to Walmart and paying full price for an oil change there as it would’ve been cheaper. In addition, she was told that her brakes were very dangerous and needed to be repaired asap. The estimate she was given was well over $1000. Had somebody else look at the car. The brakes are fine. If I could give Bobby zero stars, I would. Needless to say, I will never recommend them to anyone nor will they ever get my business again.
